Most contractors send fiber work away. We bring the fusion splicer to you — extending ISP drops, repairing damaged backbones, and terminating OS2 single-mode with documented insertion-loss results.
From a simple pre-wire coil left for your ISP to a full demarc relocation into your rack, every splice is fusion or mechanical, tested, and backed by OTDR / insertion-loss documentation — no shipping delays, no guesswork.
Certified fiber work performed on site, start to finish.
All prices CAD, labour + OpticPulse-supplied materials. Build an exact estimate for your project on the pricing page.
Fusion-spliced pigtail to a demarcation jack; $99 CAD each additional termination.
OS2, coil left outside for the ISP, demarc jack terminated inside.
Relocate an existing carrier fiber box to your rack — fusion splice + test.
A few questions specific to this service.
Yes — we handle fiber termination, splicing, and demarc extensions, including relocating an existing ISP fiber box to your rack or network closet.
Plenum-rated (FT6) cable has a special jacket designed for air-handling spaces like drop ceilings and HVAC returns. Riser cable is standard for most other runs. Plenum cable costs more, reflected in our premium media surcharge.
Standard structured cabling is reliable up to 100 metres per the TIA spec. Beyond that, signal quality drops off, so we'll plan for a network switch partway along the run or a fiber link instead.
Yes. Every fiber termination is documented with OTDR / insertion-loss results, and labelled according to TIA-606 standards.
Send your blueprint, drop count, or a few photos. We'll confirm a site visit and a clear quote in CAD — we supply the cabling, you supply the devices, we install.
